API Guide: Filtering Product Data by Barcode

This document provides the details for making an API call to retrieve product data filtered by barcode.

Get Products by Barcode

This API call fetches product data filtered by a specific barcode string. It can be filtered by setting the barcode parameter to a specific string value.

Understanding Barcode Filtering

This feature allows for the retrieval of products based on their barcodes. Using the barcode parameter, you can filter the API response to include only products that match the specified barcode string.

The barcode filter searches in the following locations:

  • Product's main barcode (barcode column)
  • Product's box code (boxcode column)
  • Multi-location barcodes - If a product has multi_code_supplier set to 1, the filter also searches in the tbl_products_multi table for matching code or boxcode values

How to Use the Barcode Filter

To filter products by barcode, include the barcode parameter in your API call and set its value to the desired barcode string. This parameter supports partial matching using LIKE syntax, so you can search for partial barcodes as well.

Use Cases for Barcode Filtering

  • Point of Sale (POS) Integration: Quickly find products by scanning their barcodes.
  • Inventory Management: Look up products using barcode scanners for stock management.
  • Product Lookup: Search for products using box codes or alternative barcodes stored in multi-location data.
  • Multi-Location Stock: Find products across different locations that share the same barcode.

Call Examples in Different Languages, String "6410" is used to filter products by barcode
