Stock transfers & adjustments

The Stock transfer module (Stock transfer › Add new) moves stock between your locations — or records a stock adjustment with a reason when goods leave without being sold.

Creating a transfer

1. Add new creates a draft transfer with its own number.
2. Choose the current stock location (from) and the destination stock location (to). Both can only be changed while the transfer is a draft.
3. Pick a reason (also draft-only — see the table below).
4. Add products like on orders — search panel, barcode scan or reference — with the quantity to move. The transfer's value is computed from the lines.
5. Update to save.

Movement vs adjustment reasons

When stock actually moves

Nothing moves while the transfer is a draft — drafts are plans. The movement happens when the status changes:

Draft → Processing → Preparing for shipment → Shipped → Transfer completed

At the moment the status is set, the system deducts the lines' received quantities from the from location, adds them to the to location (A2B only), and writes the stock diary with the transfer's reason. On Transfer completed, the received quantities are pre-filled with the ordered quantities — edit them first if only part of the transfer actually moved. A transfer can also be Cancelled while still a draft.

Reviewing transfers

The transfer list shows transfer number, date, reason, from/to locations, transfer value, delivery date, person and status, with the usual filters, exports and bulk actions. Transfer history per product appears on the product's Stock tab, and a dedicated report summarises transfers — see the Reports guide.
